A hearing is a formal process used to resolve complaints received by the College of Acupuncturists of Alberta against investigated members held before a Hearing Tribunal.

Hearings are open to the public unless the Hearing Tribunal closes it. To pre-register to attend, fill out the online Virtual Hearings Observer Form

Observers and participants are expected to follow the guidelines set out below when attending a hearing.

Hearing Decisions

In accordance with applicable legislation and subsequent bylaws approved by Council, findings of unprofessional conduct that result in a Decision from a Hearing Tribunal will be published on the College’s website once the appeal process has been completed. Redaction of any or all of the Decision is at the sole discretion of the Registrar and is weighed on a case-by-case basis.
